Product: 5 Day Fix
Owner: Mark Barrett & Paul Prissick
Send paid traffic to an email capture page, then onto affiliate offers. It works, but it's pretty standard stuff. That said, there are some good points within this training and if you have the budget, potentially worthwhile. Either way, I think 5 days is stretching unless you buy the upsells.
Like many of you, I received an email about this product the other day from a bunch of marketers and was curious to see what all the fuss was about.
Well done for doing your research, that's the smart thing to do!
What Is The 5 Day Fix?
This is the work of Mark Barrett and his buddy, Paul Prissick. They claim this is an easy way to start generating commissions within just 1 week, and they say it's totally brand new.
It's basically just email marketing with paid traffic, only you are shown some traffic sources you may not have seen before. So, while I do think there are good aspects to this, it's not "brand new" as the sales page claims. The general method is proven though and has been for many years now.
Upsells After Buying
After purchasing the product you are led through 3 upsells which is pretty standard, although this amounts to 6 annoying pages worth of advertising before you land in the members area.
I didn't sit through each presentation (boring) so below is the links and prices of each upsell:
- $27 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rf-8FDMOI4)
- $27 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-w8MSbk8Hw)
- $197 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udQn7sC2wtI)
Inside The Members Area
Once you land in the members area you are greeted with the usual welcome video and 7 training videos which teach you this method. I'll briefly run through each of these now so you know what to expect.
Video 1: This was almost like a second welcome video, but Paul really does offer some useful insights here. He talks about why most people fail online and shares the 2 key elements required to start making money online. Targeted traffic and a high converting affiliate offer. Makes sense.
Video 2: Paul shares his results with the campaign this case study training is based on. He shows you the traffic source he used to get cheap clicks called AdHitz, and how he paid just 80 bucks for 1000 clicks. Apparently, this generated him almost $700 without using any of his existing resources. If this is true, that's impressive! I will say this looks like a pretty low quality traffic source, but at the same time it is cheap and (within the scope of make money offers) could work to an extent.
Video 3: This video walks you through setting up your ad campaign within AdHitz.com and Paul stresses to use his exact process in order to get results.
Video 4: This is where Paul reveals another, more premium, method of buying traffic which looks kind of cool. It's a website called TrafficForMe.com which looks like a better version of solo ads. I haven't tested this yet, but I will admit I am curious about this one. Looks promising.
Video 5: In this video, Paul shows you the kinds of ad text to use along with examples of capture page designs which is cool. He also provides links under this video for example ad text, a squeeze page, download page and email follow up series.
Video 6: Talks about free vs paid traffic and recommends a way to get free traffic, Youtube videos.
Video 7: Pretty much just caps it off and talks about the product upgrades which, in my opinion, the first 2 are pretty much essential if you are a beginner and want to make money within a week.
What I Liked
- Done correctly, this could potentially net you a good income
- Decent quality training for the price
- Provides useful resources to help you get rolling
- Some useful insights provided throughout
What I Didn't Like
- Sales page talks about being "brand new" which isn't really the case
- To actually "implement" this will require purchasing upsells or other training/ prodicts elsewhere
Overall, this was a good training and done correctly, you could use this to make a good income online. I liked the amount of addittional resources these guys give you and for 6 bucks, it's a good training. I don't think this is enough for you to get right in and start profiting, but it is enough to get the ball rolling.
Like most products in this space, you only get "part" of what you actually need to see real results. You are given the core concept of the system (paid traffic + email marketing which is not new), the traffic source and some squeeze page examples. Yes. But to actually make this work you will need a proven email follow up series and a proven sales funnel to promote to your email list.
This is where the first 2 upsells come into play:
Also, if you have no web design skills, you'll need a page builder like Clickfunnels or OptimizePress which are addittional costs. They are great tools and ones you should probably look into buying anyway, but when you factor these in, and paying for traffic, it can get quite expensive. Quite quickly.
I personally think if you are a beginner, the first 2 upsells in particular are worth looking into within the scope of this system, since they say they are handing you their proven funnel on a silver platter. I haven't purchased these though, but if they are good, they could save you a lot of time and effort.
Anyways, that's my take, I hope this helps you make a more informed deicision about buying! Cheers
