Product: The CPA Conversion Point
Owner: Neil Moran et al.
The best way to explain this product is this- it's a botch up. From the very first video we are left guessing how critical aspects are meant to work and the training switches up part way through with an entirely different method which is send CPA offers to your email list. I'm not a fan.
This product was launched by Neil Moran, Adam Payne and Pallab Ghosal in November of 2016.
There's been some buzz about it online over the last few days, so I decided to check it out myself and see what all the fuss was about!
What Is CPA Conversion Point?
According to the sales page this is a way to "easily bank $56 in the next 20 minutes" and it will show you how to do this along side building your email list. Sounds cool.
Basically, the idea is about making money with CPA offers which stands for "Cost Per Action" and it can be potentially quite lucrative. Instead of trying to make sales, all you need to do is get people to perform an action like subscribing or filling out a form and you get paid.
After buying you are taken through just 2 upsells which is less than usual:
- Conversion Point Masterclass= $27
- Live Coaching Calls= $97
I didn't buy those because I always like to see how the product works without buying the upsells first.
Inside The Members Area
The very first thing we are greeted with is a video by Pallab telling us we should join a webinar that will reveal the following:
Why focusing on blogging, list building, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, video marketing are completely useless and waste of time.
First off, that statement is complete bullshit. Plain and simple. I'm not saying the above methods are the be all end all, but they are absolutely awesome methods of making money online and far from a "complete waste of time" as Pallab suggests.
I also know that these kinds of webinars are designed for one purpose and one purpose only, to get you to buy higher ticket products. That's just how they work.
Anyways, skipping past this I was finally was able to access the product...
Overview Of The Core Product
The core product consists of 7 videos designed to teach you CPA marketing using the Warrior Plus platform. This is a well known affiliate marketplace and it's the same platform this very product is sold through as many of you may know.
Video #1 (Getting Setup)
If you are a complete beginner, you will be completely lost after watching this video. Hands down, this is one of the worst explained training videos I've come across in this space in terms of explaining the concept and how it all fits together. If you are familiar with creating products through the Warrior Plus platform and Internet marketing in general, it probably won't be so bad. If not, it's a disaster.
I'll explain how it sounds like this system works according to the first video...
Create a free 'product' through the Warrior Plus platform, instead of selling people something and using a 'buy' button on your sales page, you'll use a 'free download' button and offer a gift of some kind. When a person clicks the download button, they'll be taken to your email opt-in form and hopefully give you their email address in return for the gift. Once they've done this, they'll be added to your email list and taken to your 'thank you' page which is full of CPA offer links.
This is the best explanation I could come up with based on the video, but it may work slightly differently to this in some aspects. Hard to know when nothing is explained properly. Anyway, the idea is that when someone clicks on one of your links and performs a predefined action, you earn a commission.
It seems this was meant to work in sync with a new CPA platform Neil is promoting called Yoonla. It appears that a lot of what isn't explained in the training may be explained within that platform, although as of writing this it's not actually working due to technical issues.
Either way, there were so many things left out of the equation in this training video it is crazy. Here are some of the fundamental things not covered...
- How to build a sales page and a thank you page
- How to get a domain name and get those pages hosted
- What kind of free gift to be giving subscribers and how to create it
- How to get traffic to send to your sales page in the first place
Those are not little things, without having an answer to the above questions, this system doesn't work.
Update: I ended up checking out the Yoonla platform myself and it’s actually pretty good. The process of building your email list with a free gift and promoting a CPA offer is explained in detail and you get a good amount of value for free. Read my full review of Yoonla.
Video #2 (CPA Networks)
This is a quick run through of some of the different CPA networks you can join to include with a system most people at this point would be flat out confused about how it even works. Then, it got worse...
Video #3 (WTF!?)
This video was an introduction to the course... again! This video was published on September 8th of 2016 whereas the previous 2 videos were published in October of 2016...
This video introduced an entirely new method which has nothing to do with the last one! The entire training from this point forward switches up completely. Really? Yep.
Video #4 (Getting Leads)
By this point, most people are going to be extremely confused and not know what the hell is going on.
The video starts with Neil creating an account with Opt Intelligence and showing you how to setup your first campaign. Cool. But why the hell are we setting up a campaign with this company, what do they do, and how does any of this fit in with anything?
I ended pausing the video and heading over to the company website above to figure out what this was about, I recommend you do the same since it will make a whole lot more sense.
Turns out Opt Intelligence (OI) is a great company with some unique advertising and revenue generating systems in place. As a publisher, you get paid on the 'path' a subscriber takes through a traditional email opt-in process. Basically, you'll show people CPA offers right after they subscribe to your list and it's all integrated seamlessly. This is interesting in itself.
The training Neil is giving you however, is about becoming an advertiser with OI. This allows you to bid on the type of email leads you want for your business down to a fine detail. You'll simply buy email leads and send them CPA offers. Pretty simple. Apart from the company itself, there is absolutely nothing new about this concept whatsoever. Send email subscribers links to CPA offers... cool.
Anyway, the video proceeds with Neil showing us how he creates an advertisement that fits in with this platform and he briefly shows you how to sync this up with GetResponse.
Video #5 (Writing Ad Copy)
This is a very brief video with some general tips on what kind of copy to place within your ads.
Video #6 (Email Marketing Basics)
Overview on the kinds of emails you'll be sending your new subscribers and some tips on using the Get Response autoresponder. If you are new to this GR, this is somewhat helpful.
Video #7 (The Competition)
With the OI platform you can sign up as an advertiser or a publisher. The last few videos have been about becoming an advertiser, while this shows you how to become a publisher so you can spy on the competition. It is a cool way to see what other advertisers are doing with their campaigns.
To be fair, the second part of the training (video 3 onwards) was explained in much more detail and is something you could use right away. But it could potentially get quite expensive buying leads.
In my opinion, you'll need to learn a lot more than what this training shows you. That's probably why at the end of the training there's a giant banner asking you to join their coaching for $97.
The sales page states that there is some kind of 'traffic training module' that goes for 20 minutes. Turns out that module does NOT even exist!
In fact, the sales page is a total mismatch when it is showing you the modules you get after buying. There are both missing modules and ones that are explained in a totally different way to what you actually get inside the members area.
I'm not sure what is going on here but that's pretty uncool and something I am sure will annoy many people who buy this.
What I Liked
- Potentially worthwhile way to make money if the training explained things properly
- The OI method could work well, I do like the company itself and the opportunity it provides
- Low cost and refund available
What I Didn't Like
- Sales page shows modules that are totally different to what is inside
- Very poorly explained and would leave many beginners completely lost
- The second method is really just sending CPA offers to an email list you buy
- Hype about making money in 20 minutes is complete and utter BS
It's not a scam, but this product was pretty disappointing overall and not something I recommend.
Unfortunately, the training I just went through leaves a lot to be desired and is not worth buying in my opinion. There are many things left completely out of the equation and this will leave most people confused as hell about what to do to make all of this work.
The second method which starts at video 3 was a viable method and was explained better, but apart from the OI platform, it's nothing new. You don't need to buy this product to use OI and to be honest, I think a well written blog post would give you more insights into using it successfully or better yet, the companies own 'how it works' videos. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this as a great product.
