Review Summary: An affiliate website for a range of readily found third party survey platforms. Unfortunately, there is nothing you are getting with this website you couldn’t already get for free.
Price: $1 for 7 days/ $27 per month
What Is Gold Opinions About?
This is just a sneaky way for an anonymous affiliate to make money out of unsuspecting people.
After signing up you’ll get access to a list of survey websites to join that supposedly pay out anywhere from $5-$50 each.
You do get access to the sites but they do not pay out that kind of money in my experience and all of them are able to be joined for free outside of this.
In other words, you aren’t paying for anything valuable.
How It Works
Many people would not continue on with the monthly fee after seeing what this is really about but they still make money.
First of all they collect the $1 which adds up over time. The main way though is through affiliate marketing. They are affiliated with each of the companies in the list so when you join any of the sites they recommend and earn, they get paid.
It’s not to say that you won’t make any money, but this website offers no unique value and certainly doesn’t give you access to some kind of ‘golden’ survey list.
In my expereience and many others, earning $1-$2 per hour is about what to expect by doing surveys and there really are better options to consider when it comes to making money online.
Exposing The Hype
One common theme with almost every kind of make money online product is the hype.
They are not endorsed by nor have been featured on any of the above. This is a common method used by sketchy websites to appear more credible and gain your trust as a result.
The selling of your personal information is extremely common among sites like this and given we are dealing with an anonymous website owner registered out of Panama… it’s a little concerning to say the least.
They also give people a bogus income calculator which literally does nothing more than some basic and completely unrelated calculations.
In a legal sense they may be in the clear given the wording they’ve used, but it is abundantly clear why that calculator is on the sales page. They want people to believe they’ll be making big dollars for signing up.
Let me be clear, I am yet to see anyone in any company making anywhere near that kind of money taking surveys. The above is a textbook case of misleading marketing hype.
Is It Worth Joining?
They claim to provide the following membership benefits:
Unfortunately, this is far from reality with any survey company.
The actual Gold Opinions membership website is definitely not worth joining as it holds very little value in itself.
As far as doing surveys for cash in general… I’m not a big fan either. It is possible to make money this way but it kind of sucks for a number of reasons.
Pros and Cons of Doing Surveys
If you can find a legitimate survey company you can earn money but there’s some major drawbacks.
When you take into account the amount of surveys you get, the downtime in trying to get ‘approved’ for each one and the overall low amounts you get it’s not as good as you might think.
Some of the common drawbacks:
- Extremely low payout
- Length of time to getting paid
- Getting gift cards and other things instead of cash
- Not qualifying for many surveys means a lot of downtime and few income opportunities
- Not scalable
What About The Referral Program?
They have an affiliate program that pays out 70% commissions on the monthly membership fees for everyone you refer. This is where the real money is made.
The problem is I honestly don’t believe many people will pay the monthly membership unless they are new to the online business world and don’t really understand how it all works.
By referring people to this you’d be making money off the back of unsuspecting people for the most part instead of offering them genuine value. Not cool.
Putting that aside though, making money referring people means learning how to drive tons of traffic to your affiliate links. The best approach (unless you have tons of money already) is learning how to drive free traffic.
Alternative Way To Make Money Online
If you want to earn a part time or even full time income by promoting legit products and services there is a way and it’s called affiliate marketing. Many well known companies are happy to pay affiliate marketers to promote their products and services online and receive generous commissions for doing so. This is a real business that helps people make real money. It takes work though so it’s more suited to those willing to learn and take action on what they learn consistently.
There is no value in this service whatsoever and by joining you are potentially handing your information to marketers who are going to pass your contact info on to third parties who will hit you with endless spam. I’m not saying that would happen for a fact, but this is very common among these kinds of websites.
If you want to do paid surveys, I recommend going straight to the actual survey company itself instead of this useless middle man.
I spent years listening to 'gurus' which left me broke, frustrated and totally lost. There's only ONE program that helped me create a real income online, here's how it helped me succeed...
