Product: Lazy Profit Engine
Owner: Brett Hitchcock
It's not the 'lazy way' of making lots of money online, unfortunately that doesn't really exist. That said, this product is definitely worthwhile for those interested in creating an income doing YouTube video reviews. The potential is good for anyone willing to put in the effort.
I was first emailed about this product through a guy named Spencer who I've purchased from in the past. I was curious enough from his email so I checked out the sales page to learn more. Turns out he product creator is Brett Hitchcock and he's partnered up with Spencer to bring LPE to the world.
Apparently, this product shows you the lazy approach to making $100+ per day in as little as 20-30 work per day. Was I skeptical? Damn straight. I've purchased tons of products from guys claiming this kind of thing so I immediately had my guard up. I won't say the sales pitch was too overhyped though and the kind of income results being shown are a lot more realistic than most. I also know that Spencer is a pretty genuine guy so I decided to buy this and see what all the fuss was about.
What Is Lazy Profit Engine?
After purchasing the product you get the usual upsells before accessing the product:
- LPE Pro ($27)- Traffic training, Live webinar and some kind of software
- Any Niche Companion ($47)- Turns out the main training is designed to work primarily within the 'make money online' niche so this is going to help you use the product with any niche you choose
I didn't buy either of those and I rarely do when it comes to upsells. Once inside the members area you are greeted with a 29 page PDF and 14 screencast videos produced by Brett to show you how to make everything work and put it all together.
The videos are broken up into 2 main sections- the Lazy method and the Optimal method. I'll go over what to expect within each video below.
The 'Lazy Method' Modules
Video #1 (56 seconds): This is a welcome video showing you how to sign up for a free Warrior Plus account. This is an affiliate network which most of you are probably familiar with. In short, signing up for an account there allows you to promote their products.
Video #2 (3:49 mins): How to sign up for a Google account and then a Blogger account, which is a simple way to create a blog. The PDF states that WordPress is preferable but this is the newbie friendly way to go about it. I like his reasoning here but I always recommend WordPress, even for newbies. The reason being, I use a platform called Wealthy Affiliate that makes creating a WordPress blog/ website stupid simple. This platform allows you to create your first 2 websites for free and keep them for life, along with a bunch of other cool stuff. It doesn't really matter within the scope of this system which platform you choose though so whatever you decide is no big deal.
Video #3 (4:47 mins): This video walks you through choosing an offer within the WarriorPlus marketplace that is going to be the most profitable. If you are new to this marketplace, I think this section is very worthwhile paying attention to.
Video #4 (4:36 mins): In this marketplace, you must request permission from the product owner to promote it. Brett shows you how to request permission and grab your affiliate link. He also provides insight into improving your approval rates.
Video #5 (4:22): This is where you are shown the meat of what you will be doing with the program, which is YouTube video reviews. You are shown how to take screenshots of various elements within the vendors sales page to use as content for your video.
Video #6 (5:31 mins): In this module Brett shows you how to get your first blog post up which is quite simple a headline, an image and some text. He also walks you through other key aspects of making this system work.
Video #7 (5:38 mins): Learn how to use a free and simple method of creating and uploading your review video into YouTube. I have to say, this is dead simple and something anyone can do. These are just short videos which don't require you to get in front of the camera or even do a voice over. Easy stuff.
Video #8 (5:09): This video shows you how to set everything up in such a way that won't see your account banned from YouTube, it does happen to affiliates from time to time. By the end of this step you'll have your video live and sales funnel in place so that when people watch the video, they click through and (hopefully) buy the product you are promoting.
Video #9 (2:54): Placing a call to action within the video to get more of them clicking on the link within your description box. This is important because if no one clicks this, you won't make a cracker.
Video #10 (5:45): This pretty much caps it off by showing you an overview of everything you've learned so far. At this point, you've learned the process of making money doing video reviews without showing your face or using your voice. The next 4 videos show you how to make more money and use a much more effective approach. These first 10 videos were really just to get your feet wet.
The 'Optimal Strategy' Modules
Video #11 (2:48 mins): Shows you the recommended screencast software to use which is free, this is the same software Brett uses himself.
Video #12 (3:06 mins): One of the best ways to increase conversions is to offer the people visiting your offer page some kind of bonus. Brett shows you the best and simplest way to pick a good bonus to offer.
Video #13 (4:51 mins): This is probably the best video within the product so far. Essentially, Brett shows you the 4 main sections he uses to create the content of his review videos and massively increase your conversions. This really is good value for people new to this method of marketing and it's the result of his own trial and error and experience. I highly recommend paying close attention to this video if you do buy.
Video #14 (6:58 mins): This is the final video in the Optimal strategy and the product as a whole, it essentially caps off the training and provides a really interesting method of building your email list. I won't give it away here, but I will say I think this is a super simple and very powerful way to build one of the greatest assets you possibly could as an internet marketer, a buyer email list. This is smart marketing.
There are 3 bonuses all up. The first one is about article marketing, the second gives you a few different ways to generate free traffic and the third one is the actual 'how to' of the buyer list building I just explained in the final video.
I don't recommend getting into the first 2 bonuses too much though. It's not that they lack value as such, it's just that you'll probably end up getting overwhelmed with everything and give up before making any money. I recommend sticking primarily to the core training and the third bonus.
My Take On The Overall Strategy
One of the key reasons both of these strategies work well is because you are going to be targeting low competition keywords which means you will get your videos ranked within search results quite quickly and easily. Don't stress, a keyword is just the search phrase you are targeting. For example, "Product X Review" is a keyword. You don't need to be a keyword expert or anything to make this work. The bottom line is that this 'low-competition' strategy works very well and you can build your traffic steadily over time.
What I Liked
- Very easy system to follow and implemetn
- Not too much sales hype and doesn't over inflate your expectations
- Brett is a very ethical and straightforward guy who seems to genuinely want to give people value
- YouTube marketing provides a massive opportunity for anyone willing to put the effort in
- Good value for money
What I Didn't Like
- Doing reviews without buying the product is not something I really recommend (long term at least)
- Limited to the make money online niche (massively profitable though)
- Most of the products you are promoting with this method are low ticket and not recurring
If you follow the training and take consistent action, you will absolutely see results!
I have to say, Brett is probably one of the most straight forward marketers I've come across in this space. He really does explain each step in a way that anyone can follow and there's zero 'fluff' within the entire training. I don't say this very often I can assure you. He gets full marks for being an ethical marketer who strives to provide value to people.
Would I say you could just spend 20-30 minutes per day to set up 'profit machines' on full autopilot that pull in tons of money? No. Yes, you can set the basic review videos up this way (modules 1-10) but this isn't what will make you much money though. Those videos are really just a nice way for newbies to get rolling and for those who are a bit camera shy/ voice shy. The real gold is within the last 4 videos.
Overall this is a great way to get started in video marketing and anyone willing to follow these steps and take action will absolutely see results. Given the massive potential within the video marketing space I can safely say that creating a full-time income with this approach is not out of the picture. Of course, there would be more to learn and more products to purchase along the way if that kind of money was your goal, but the opportunity is certainly there. Either way, it gets a thumbs up from me!
