If you’re reading this then chances are you are looking for a legitimate way to earn an income online and you came across the Niche Blitzkrieg system. I joined Michael Brown’s program and I am going to show you exactly what I found inside the members area right here in this review.
Product: This is a 5 lesson training program designed to take you by the hand and teach you how to do affiliate marketing with a niche website. It consists of a series of videos and text that teaches people how to choose a profitable niche, build a website, get free traffic and make money in the process.
Price= $4.95 for a 7 day trial/ then $77 one time
Review Summary: I’ve reviewed a lot of programs and seen a lot of gurus pushing some really rubbish products over the years and I have to say this is one of the select few I’ve found to be genuinely trying to help people build a legit online business. Michael is not some self proclaimed guru and the training he provides overall is worthwhile for a newbie to affiliate marketing.
That said… unfortunately this program is somewhat outdated and he talks about traffic generation strategies that can actually hurt your business. This is because the program was created in 2009 and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) has dramatically changed since then. I still think the program has some value though.
First Thoughts On Niche BlitzKrieg
The very first thing I noticed about this program is that it wasn’t all about hype and ridiculous overnight success claims. This is one of the few sales pages that actually keep it real. He goes on to explain exactly what people can expect on the inside and from what i could see it appeared to have a lot of value.
I also liked how the reviews were from real people and could be verified, a lot of marketers put up fake and deceptive testimonials so this was a real thumbs up in my books.
The whole sales page left me with a good enough impression to at least check out the $4.95 trial, so I did and here’s what I found.
There are 2 intro videos that basically explain the overall concept of what you are getting into which I think is really helpful for people getting started and newbies to affiliate marketing. It’s actually very simple and he explains it in a way anyone can understand.
He also gives people a bit of a members area tour to help them get acquainted with where everything is and where to get started.
Here’s a snapshot of the overall training menu, I’ll go through each lesson in detail below.
In this lesson you are given training on choosing a niche that works for you based on low competition opportunities.
Money can be made in pretty much ANY niche so this helps you to understand how to find the best opportunities for you. In this context a niche is simply a group of people searching for something online, for example people searching for ‘how to train my pet Poodle’ or ‘how to develop a better golfing swing’.
He also provides links to other resources he has created to explain this concept even further and help people come up with ideas.
Michael also provides a step by step guide with photos, text and video to show you how to do keyword research and find the right keywords to build your business around. Keywords are just the search terms people use in Google and other search engines to find stuff.
To do proper keyword research though you really need to learn more than what is being shown in this lesson so he recommends people to start a free trial of a tool he uses.
In this lesson you’ll learn all about getting a domain name (website address), setting up hosting and building your first WordPress website.
Everything is explained and there is a ton of useful content here and links to external resources that will help someone build a website. Since this is about making money with affiliate marketing you’ll be learning all about promoting other people’s products through what is called an affiliate link.
What these links are, where to get them and where to put them in your new website is all explained in this lesson.
This is where you learn how to get your new website indexed and ranking in Google which is super important to getting visitors and ultimately making money.
He also touches on social bookmarking and submitting your website to RSS feeds which in my opinion is a little outdated, while it is important to share your content on social media the game has changed since Michaels product was created as I mentioned in the outset.
I personally don’t see this as important and I don’t really like this part of the training.
This is where I came to realise this would not be something I am going to recommend to people. While Michael Brown is genuine and gives people real advice it centres around a completely outdated approach to getting traffic called ‘back linking’.
In the ‘affiliate marketing with a website’ game it’s all about writing quality content and getting that content to rank, so you get visitors to your website. Once you get visitors you have the very real opportunity to make money when those visitors buy products you recommend to them.
You may or may not have heard the term SEO before but what this means is ‘optimising your website content’ so it ranks better in the search engines like Google. SEO is a rapidly changing and evolving craft and what worked even 2-3 years ago may not work now, or may even hurt your website.
Unfortunately, this program teaches people about back linking as the primary way to grow your traffic which may have worked 5+ years ago but it sure as heck doesn’t work very well (if at all) now.
The best strategy for SEO (in my opinion) is writing good quality content that helps people and delivers real value. This might sound a little vague but Google is VERY smart and is only getting smarter, so they can now detect when people are trying to ‘game’ the system and write just to get ranked.
A lot of marketers used back linking strategies in the past to boost rankings and they worked for a time but Google slapped them silly with the updates in it’s algorithm in recent years.
Googles main objective is to rank the highest quality and most relevant content it can to serve it’s users better, so the aim of the game is to deliver value to people. Of curse there are a few important factors that go into a good SEO plan but ultimately good content is paramount, not back linking.
Don’t be fooled into thinking you need to be some writing guru either, you can help people learn about something with a basic website and once you learn the basic principals. Practice makes you better, being better makes you money.
This lesson is just a summary of the course and what you’ve learned so far, the ‘wrap up’ I guess you could call it.
What I Liked
- Michael Brown seems like a genuine guy and not some self proclaimed guru
- He does not use deceptive sales tactics
- There is a support forum and a lot of useful resources to help people
- The information in the members area is clearly explained
- You can try it for $4.95 for 7 days and the price is reasonable after that
- No annoying up sells
- Money back guarantee
- Some useful overall training and some of the bonuses are worth a look
What I Didn’t Like
- The training on traffic generation (which is a key component to making this business work) is somewhat outdated and ineffective
- There isn’t much training on how to write good content, which is now more important than ever
- The community forum seemed pretty dead with only 3 users online
After reading some of the reviews from trusted sources and looking at the sales page I had high hopes for this program. While it was definitely legit and had some great value training, the traffic generation strategies being taught are severely outdated. This effectively killed it for me and is the sole reason I do not recommend the Blitzkrieg niche training program, as much as I wanted to.
If you are just wanting to learn a few core principals and give affiliate marketing a try then it is probably worth doing the trial but I do think there are better options. Personally, I think it’s always better to learn the right way from the start to save time, money and frustration and ultimately achieve success much sooner.
