When I first came across the company website I was intrigued by the headline entitled "Real Science, Not Hype". Having reviewed quite a number of health related multi level marketing companies on this site so I understand full well the number of companies who are less than upfront about the actual science behind their claims. I'm not saying they all do this, but it does happen.
Anyway, despite my overall lack of interest in the skin care industry, their statement got me curious.
The first thing I did was watch the video on the website's about page. I have to admit I was a little confused by this at first, it was talking about 'saving lives' and getting quite deep about the importance of science in general. I thought these were just skin care products!?
Things became more clear the deeper I looked into this company and those behind it.
The Founder- Greg Pilant
The next thing I did was watch the video interview with the founder and CEO, Greg Pilant. My first impression was... wow this guy really is doing something different compared to a lot of mlm companies in this space. The whole approach was very 'under-hyped' and the more I watched, the more impressed I was by this.
From what I could see, Greg really does believe in his products and the reason he is building the company which is a good thing.
It turns out he has been a successful entrepreneur for over 25 years and has a strong passion for wound care. Some of the companies he has owned and run include:
- 1991- Founded Prestige International, Inc
- 1993- CEO of Stanley Pharmaceuticals, Inc and National Labs Inc.
- 1996- Founded WoundCare Co.
- 2016- Radién International
The Skin Care Products
The history of these products goes way beyond cosmetics which probably explains the 'serious' element I was unsure about in the video at the outset. In other words, it's about more than just making your skin look nice. The research and development Pilant has done is based on chronic wound care which is the real nasty stuff. Seems they've accomplished some great things in helping folks overcome these issues.
One of the core elements that make these products unique is a bark extract they have dubbed QXP technology. Apparently this is their 'secret sauce' and what makes the products so unique compared to alternatives.
As far as the science behind the products is concerned, there does appear to be legitimate research and years worth of studies and trials that have been undertaken. I'm certainly no expert on this topic though so I encourage you to learn more about the science behind these in the product white paper they provide.
You can also look up any of the companies listed above and do some more digging, there is a lot of information available which may be worth checking out.
There are 4 main categories of products the company offers:
- Women's Anti Ageing
- Mens Anti Ageing
- DeJaVu Anti Ageing
- Radienlx Skin Repair Cream
They are pretty expensive but if they really are as good as the appear to be and the ingredients are as high quality as the company suggests, they are probably worth it. Price is really only an issue in the absence of value right? It might be worth grabbing some yourself to see what you think, that's what I would do anyway.
They also give you the option to do a 90 day challenge which sees you buy 3 months worth of selected products, then you get the 4th month for free.
The Radién International Compensation Plan
This is where you can take part in the business opportunity by promoting the products and building your team. The general idea is to purchase the products yourself and share your experience with family and friends.
Understanding Affiliate Ranks
How much you make depends on your rank within the company and how well you and your team perform. I'll break down the various ranks now to show you what they mean and how they apply.
Brand Partner (BP): This is the base qualification for earning commissions and will cost you $19.95 per year. This also provides you with your replicated website, tools and some training to build your business. This allows you to earn retail commissions and the 'share it pack' bonus that I explain shortly.
Premier Brand Partner (PBP): This is where the real earnings potential starts. To qualify for this rank, you must produce $2000 or more in sales within 1 calendar month, or $1000 each month over 2 consecutive months.
3 Star Premier Brand Partner: You need 1 PBP in each of 3 separate legs.
6 Star Premier Brand Partner: You need 1 PBP in each of 6 separate legs.
9 Star Premier Brand Partner: You need 1 PBP in each of 9 separate legs.
12 Star Premier Brand Partner: You need 1 PBP in each of 12 separate legs.
Note: a 'leg' is just the referral directly under you on your level 1 downline.
Different Ways You Can Earn
There are various ways you can earn with this company including both product sales and leveraging the efforts of your team. As mentioned, how much you will earn in each depends on your rank.
These commissions are based on the difference between wholesale and retail pricing. Brand partners will earn up 33% selling to retail customers once a certain level of Personal Group Commission Volume (PGCV) is reached in a given month. Basically, the more sales your team makes, the higher your percentage of retail commissions will become as per the chart below.
Note: It seems $1 of retail product sales equates to 1 CV and 1 PGCV.
Premier Brand Partners will make 40% commissions all day every day on retail sales.
PBO's earn up to 30% commissions on any personally referred BP's products sales. This travels down until you reach the next PBP in your downline. This is also known as Personal Group Overrides.
The 'Share It Pack' Bonus
This earns a BP $60 whenever they refer a BP who purchases the Share It Pack for $199. If you are a PBP you will earn $30 if your BP sells one of these and you'll scoop up the full $90 commission if you are a PBO who sells this directly.
This is exclusively for PBP affiliates. How this works is that once a PBP reached the next PBP affiliate in their downline, they will start earning from a new 'generation'. A percentage of the sales volume of each generation is paid down so many generations deep according to your rank.
I know, it's pretty confusing! Just know you get paid a potentially long way down the line with this. according to who is ranked where and how big your team is.
Quick Example: You are a PBP and there are 7 BP's in you downline, one under another. The 8th affiliate is a PBP which means that generation stops and you start earning overrides on the next generation. This next generation consists of your 8th affiliate's BP's until his downline reaches his next PBP affiliate. This continues down according to how many gens you are qualified to earn on.
A 9 Star affiliate can earn a 1% commission based on the sales volume in their organisation and to be eligible, must have $250k in sales volume within the first 3 generations of PBP's for 3 consecutive months. The same goes for a 12 star affiliate, only the quote is $500k over 3 consecutive months.
Financial Freedom Bonus
This will pay out a guaranteed monthly income if a set number of BP's are in an affiliates downline, all of which must be on the monthly auto-ship. See chart below for details.
What I Liked
- Appear to be very high quality products and strong focus on selling these
- There is more scientific evidence behind these products than a lot of similar companies
- CEO has been in the industry for many years and is passionate about the product/ opportunity
- Decent commission rates and bonuses on offer
- I like the 'no fluff' the company has taken
- Display full price list and product info on website
What I Didn't Like
- Comp plan is explained in a way that would potentially make it hard for reps to explain
- Teach warm market techniques for growing your business
From what I can see, this is a great company! They offer high quality products, there's a passionate group of people behind them and there's an opportunity to make a good amount of money in the business side of things. I do recommend trying the products yourself before diving head first into promoting this though. You will always see better results if you are passionate about the products.
I also think it's wise to avoid relying too heavily on the warm market approach as it's really not the best way to grow a decent business. Well, I certainly don't think so anyway. I know there are better ways to build your team and move those products to achieve your goals and ways that won't make your friends want to run for the hills! Whatever you decide to do, I hope this has been helpful to you.
