So you’re looking for a job and want to make some extra cash in the meantime? You could try paid surveys, data entry, selling stuff on eBay or a hundred other ways but they’re boring and probably won’t make you much.
Here’s my #1 way of making money while you’re looking for a job that anyone can do on any budget, more importantly this will actually pay instead of just wasting your time.
First Up- Avoid These Time Wasters
The truth is there are millions of people looking at how to make money online each and every day and there’s an absolute boatload of companies and marketers looking to capitalise on that. I do a lot of reviews on this website and I’ve been involved in a lot of different kinds of businesses and so called ‘jobs’ online.
Let me first eliminate some of the guesswork and break down some things I believe aren’t going to help you in your unique situation:
People do make some money here but the majority are complete time wasters. Based on my reviews and expereience you’d be lucky to make a between $1-$3 per hour at best. That doesn’t leave you much time for job hunting and isn’t something that really gets better with time.
Push Button ‘systems’
Like I was saying earlier there’s plenty of scammers looking to capitalise on your money making endeavours, in fact I would say that at least 95% of ‘opportunities’ you see online are either rubbish or complete scams. Nothing that claims to provide you a fast, easy and super profitable way to make money is real- I cannot overstate this enough.
This would have to be the worst of the bunch, the majority of the so called ‘amazing softwares’ are 100% scams that will most definitely not help you. Making an income with binary options is possible but I can assure you you need to invest years into learning this trade and no software has the ‘secret sauce’ to making you easy money.
Multi Level Marketing(mlm)
Whether or not mlm is legit is one of the most hotly debated subject online. In my opinion most of the companies are not as honest as they could be but as a whole I wouldn’t say the business model is a total scam. You can make money recruiting people who recruit people but it takes a lot of time, effort and a reasonable amount of money to get off the ground. You’ll be hustling family and friends and paying for products you don’t need or use just to make a small amount of money for some time.
Affiliate marketing without a website
Affiliate marketing is entirely legit but if you attempt to do this without a website it will cost you a lot of money and probably end in frustration. This goes hand in hand with a lot of the push button systems I was warning you about earlier. If you don’t have a website you’ll be paying a ton of money for advertising, plain and simple.
These are just some of the things I’ve personally tried and some of them can definitely make you money, but you’ll be happily employed long before they pay off.
The Best Approach
In my opinion the best way to make decent money in as little as the next 8-12 weeks is affiliate marketing with a website.
Quite simply this is a business model that allows anyone on any budget to capitalise on a multi billion dollar per year industry and you don’t need to be some marketing guru to do this.
Why It’s The Best Approach
Here’s a few reasons I do affiliate marketing and why I think you’ll be interested as well:
- Extremely low start-up and maintenance costs
- Massive untapped potential in thousands of ‘niches’
- You can promote anything at all
- Totally scalable and gives you the potential to make as much money as you want
- Work from anywhere
How It Works
In a nutshell the concept is really about selling other peoples stuff online.
Companies like Amazon for example will pay you a commission to send people to their website who make purchases. If someone clicks on your unique affiliate link that takes them to Amazon and they buy something- you get paid.
Ok so on with the nuts and bolts of how this works:
- Choose a niche (a group of people looking for something)
- Build a website (calm down lol, this is the easy part)
- Get visitors to your website (you need website visitors, AKA traffic, for this to work
- Make money (the bit you’re most interested in)
You are interested in rock climbing so you build a website all about rock climbing. You talk about harnesses, shoes, places to go, various ropes, do product reviews and more. By giving people your valuable insight into this topic (and following some basic training) Google, Yahoo and Bing will rank your content in the search results.
Getting ranked in the search results ==> website visitors ==> website visitors can be converted into sales
Let’s say you are getting 5,000 visitors to your new website every month which is easily achievable. You send people to a website to do with rock climbing (that also has an affiliate program like OMCgear.com) and when people make a purchase you get a commission.
One way you can achieve this is to invite your website visitors to check out your top rated rock climbing product reviews at the end of any page you create. Within that product review page will be your unique affiliate link pointing people to the relevant OMCgear product you are talking about to your visitors. When they click on that link, go to OMC and make a purchase there, you get paid!
It really is that simple.
You just need to learn the ropes and put your learning into practice but you can easily do this on the side of looking for a job. Just 2-3 hours per day is all you need to get started doing this.
Anyone Can Do This
Anyone can do this because it does not require some special skill set or a ton of money.
Yes, it does take time and effort I won’t lie to you but I believe it is well worth it. Learning these skills can create some extra cash in a relatively short amount of time in comparison to a lot of other businesses and can even set you up to earn a full time income.
