About Richard Weberg
After signing up and watching some of his videos and going through the steps, it is clear he actually does believe in what he is doing and is not just trying to blatantly rip people off. In fact, he seems to be a reasonable kind of guy and his system certainly isn’t a scam.
He also does inform the members of exactly what they can expect to outlay for the system financially, there are no sneaky sales techniques used for the most part. That said I have to address Richard’s claim that his system is ‘the most complete marketing system online’. Friends, that comment alone is absolutely ridiculous for a number of reasons.
The more appropriate way to describe YourEightSteps would be “the most complete guide to being a total spammer and never learning real (and transferrable) Internet marketing skills”.
What Is YourEightSteps And How Does It Work?
After watching the fake news reporter video and signing up you are led into the members area. You are then asked to choose a path, either path 1 or 2 depending on your financial situation.
Path 1 requires a person to sign up to Pure Leverage and in order to take full advantage will cost you a total of $44.92 per month in addition to the YourEightSteps monthly membership.
Path 2 is for apparently for people with less belief in the system and less money to invest and will set you back $9.97 per month for GVO in addition to the monthly membership.
Note: You do not need to sign up to a paid monthly membership with YourEightSteps, however it is made abundantly clear that without doing so you will have little success. Your commissions are also very low unless you upgrade to the paid membership.
Essentially there is no real difference between path 1 and 2 other than pure leverage costs more and has a selection of pre-made blogs, which are completely useless. These useless generic websites will NEVER rank in Google because they are copied generic content (Google hates this). Yet this is one of the main selling points to choosing Pure Leverage and paying more than quadruple the price compared with GVO in path 2.
Anyone that has any sort of Internet marketing knowledge will tell you quite clearly that ready-made websites are absolutely worthless, offer little or no value and will not get ranked in Google or any other search engine worth using. The copy and paste approach to building a business online is fruitless.
Lucky for anyone signing up, you will only be using spam tactics to get traffic anyway that don’t include ranking in the search engines.
The remaining steps are essentially setting up the hosting of a number of pre-made (over-used) squeeze pages and splash pages. You also sign up to a bunch of traffic exchanges and safe lists to spam… I mean ‘promote’ your pages to.
Essentially the whole concept is: sign people up under your one affiliate link through the pre-made pages, having your fresh sign ups join all the same traffic exchanges, safe lists and auto responders (GVO and Pure Leverage) under your affiliate link within the system. This is meant to build your downline.
So you pretty much join the system, and spam others into joining the system, who spam yet others into joining the system and on and on… wait have I said spam and system enough times yet??
For those of you that don’t know about traffic exchanges, they require you to sign up and start clicking on other websites, squeeze pages or banners etc. so that others in the system will do the exact same thing for you. No one on those networks are actually looking at what you have to offer, they are just clicking to get clicks back from you.
Then of course there’s the paid option… I’m not even going to get started on how much of an absolute WASTE of money that is- I can personally attest to this and many others I know as well.
Additionally, the clicks can sometimes be robots and quite often people from developing countries that don’t even speak the same language being paid to click on your ads. Safe-lists are no different except you are sending and receiving spam emails instead of clicking ads on a web browser.
So you will either be wasting hard earned money on useless traffic generation techniques or spending days clicking away for absolutely nothing. I could go on and on about how ridiculous, time consuming and money wasting these methods are but I don’t want to drag this review on.
- Richard is not a total scammer and does believe in what he is doing, someone has to!
- How much everything is going to cost you is very upfront
- You can try it for free first
- Very little training and genuine skill building for anything else but their own system. Often the videos will go off on a tangent simply explaining how “this system just works so believe in it people”
- Traffic exchanges and safe lists are an absolute joke of a method to create a real and sustainable business with, unless you love spamming and being spammed
- Some steps are not clearly explained and newbies could easily be lost, the website is very cluttered and messy in general
- There is little to no engagement or support in the Facebook community for YourEightSteps other than Richard announcing new products to promote. Support through the website is limited to a 24-48 hour response time via email. However there is Skype so I have to give him that.
- Way overpriced membership considering you are paying for static information with little real training and tools
- Flawed business model for anyone serious about creating a real, scalable and legitimate online business
- Full of up sells throughout the many traffic exchanges and safe lists you are encouraged to join
For the most part you are spending all of your hard earned money and time promoting (spamming) the YourEightSteps brand and Richard’s brand, not your own brand on your own unique website.
Richard also promotes email marketing and list building, which can be very effective, but to do this properly you need to create a relationship built on trust, credibility and authority within your niche. This is best achieved through your own unique website with your own brand so that people can really connect with you.
Mindlessly flogging a pre-branded ‘system’ is a bad way to go… Invest In You And Build Your Own Website And Business! Systems like YourEightSteps can come and go overnight (I’m not personally saying this one will), so you are better off putting your hard work into your own online business and brand. After all that is what Richard himself is doing, building his own brand! It’s great to promote products you believe in, but you should be branding yourself in the process. This is something that most successful people do!
Who Is This For?
In a nutshell this is for people that are keen to follow a system and only the system, spam the heck out of everyone, hopefully make some money and never grow as an Internet marketer outside of this program.
Training and Tools Inside The System
As I have outlined the training is extremely narrow and limited. Most of the videos are Richard explaining why the system just works without ever actually teaching anyone anything of lasting value or anything transferable into anything else.
The tools are pretty much non-existent other than what you get through GVO or Pure Leverage. After signing up with those you will be bombarded with daily emails trying to get you to purchase more product from them.
What About The support?
The technical and general support is average at best. It takes an about of 24-48 hours to receive any help by email however there is a Skype option available, so thumbs up to Richard for this.
As far as community support and mentoring of any kind, again average at best. Maybe if you get lucky and sign up under someone that knows what they are doing but that is potluck essentially. The community aspect is, in my opinion, almost non existent even though there is a Facebook page.
For the price you’re paying and what you are getting this is very average value for money in my opinion. Even though path 2 is reasonably priced, my conclusion is based on the fact that the ‘training’ on the website is static and once you’ve been through it, is of little value if any.
One thing’s for sure, it’s definitely not the ‘most complete marketing system online’ when you understand what Internet marketing is all about. For anyone looking to build skills beyond YourEightSteps and learn effective internet marketing strategies, I don’t recommend this.
